Rotarota

For our writing this term we are learning how to create poems / rotarota or creative paragraphs. We get a new hook each day. Here are some of my pieces of writing. We are especially focusing on imagery and using our senses.

Creative Writing wk1

This week we have been learning how to create a piece of writing using a picture to help us. First we had our class  on what the picture was about then we brainstorm some adjectives finally we started writing. I am sharing it with you please leave a comment. Thanks!




 Wiki 1 Wāhanga 2 Writing starter We are going to another planet far, far away this week! Think about using your senses. Smell, taste, hear, feel, see. Remember to use correct punctuation and spelling. Remember to use similes, and adjectives. Use correct sentences.

 The day has come where the people from Mars has arrived to the place we call Earth. We were all happy that they are here but we did not no what place they were going to. But they put on social media that they were going to America just for JoJo siwa's birthday and to go to the slime fest with vip tickets. They looked so hideous but we do not care one because they smell so good second reason they can live on Mars. But the leader of the people that are called the breathers. They had names but there were too many of them. We called them breathers 1 2 3 and they love it so that is easier for us and they had hats with numbers on the hats. After Jojo siwa's birthday and the slime fest they came to New Zealand and taught us how to breathe on Mars and we went to Mars and we lived happily ever after the end.

The best and worst things about winter are… The best the thing about Winter is Sports and the Tactix play the other teams like Steel, Pulse, Mystics, Magic and Northern Stars. Worst Things about winter is it rains a lot. Our winter sports get cancelled and we get stuck inside. I love and hate winter.

WALT create a piece of writing which includes, 5 words that we have been given. This week the words were pink, huge, bridge, sprinkled, and daffodil.

 One school morning I woke up at 11am. I said ‘oh no I am late for school mum we slept in’. I am going to miss math. We have to go over a huge pink bridge go by a daffodil field then we are at school. I do not want to miss math I like math. Come on we need go I just need to get in to my uniform for school. We got to school they were doing math I was happy but when I got my math out it was time to pack up. I was so sad but we were going to do it after morning tea. I was happy we did it for 45 mins. Then it was time for lunch I had a big run around but it was very hot I was sweating a lot it was to hot I had to lie down on the ground for a back. I got up and the bell rang to eat. We had free time so I did math I got up in til week 3. The time was over. We made a huge cake for the topic. We pot some sprinkles all over it. After we made it we ate it. We all were sick I went home and i had to go to bed because the cake was my tea. So I went to bed with a book. The end

Today my big  brothers got taken from a big bully. It was a girl. Then I heard them calling for help. I went to help them but the snow is as white as a cloud and as hard as a berick to get  three. I avenckerly got there. I saw them. They were as cold as ice.  I get them out with my sword. I was going thrower a big big  zoo to get here. There were a lot of big animals, big girl, and my big brothers on the way here for a size like me. I am a size of a thume.

We are going to salabert with a cake. I will make it. The big  brothers said you can not do that because you are  a size of a thume we will do it for you. We are the best at making cakes. We had the best cake ever to be eaten in the word. I did not share the cake with my big brother. I was so fat and big but I was a size of a thume.

It was 6:51 in the morning. The sun was coming up. I went to go get a drink of water and come back. I got back some pirates were coming aboard the ship. They got to the ship of robots. The pirates did not know the robots where on the ship. They got on the ship and some people heard the pirates. The pirates went into the engine room and saw some people playing a card game.

They went to the eating room and got some food for them. They got some soup and some carrots and run away.

They run to the boss's room and the pirate said to the boss do you know how I am how said the boss the private said” I am the new boss. So give me the key .”  Some more pirates came aboard the ship and went to get the cars. The pirates said where are they. The robots came out. They were all around the pirates. One of the robot said boo the pirates ran all away. One robot was waiting for the pirate to come. The pirate came but he was running he fell overboard and was in the water. Some move privates fell overboard. A robot went  to go get some move pirate’s. The robot said look at all the pirates they were impressive but not  impressive enough. We are more  impressive than you. So go back to your ship and never come back. The end

I saw an eye of a soldier.Then I looked out the window and saw some waves in the sea. We were in a boat. It stopped at a beach. The ramp came down and all the soldiers came out and so did we. We saw a lot of stuff on the ground. If you touch it, it will blow up. One of the soldiers fell over on the ground. He touched it but it did not blow up. He did not touch it hard enough to make it blow up. Now we fell over on the ground we got up and hid behind some stuff on the ground. They tried not to touch it. we saw our dad. We went to him. He open his eye and saw us and got surprise. He saw some people got head shots and dead. But it was not my dad. He was a brave dad and a good dad so he went to go and get the bad people. But he got shot in the face so he was dead we were alone but are grandad was there he get us and went to his house. We stayed in our grandad house he had a cool manshin. The end
